Mechanical Sweetness melds the dreams and personal nostalgia of Los Angeles-based musician Alyssa Gengos into a new-wavey indie rock homecoming album. Written, recorded, and all produced by herself, these nine tracks are the result of her solitary and vulnerable craft. Not only does Mechanical Sweetness celebrate the music indebted to that area, taking the influence of bands that are retro-inspired like Foxygens Jonathon whos from the same town, but its a return to self for Gengos.
